Competition formats explained
Choose the right structure for a matchup, league, bracket, goal, or territory game.
What you can do
- Head-to-head tracks direct matchups between two competitors.
- Group rivalry lets any two accepted members play at any time, with overall standings and a separate record for every pair.
- Everyone at once puts the full accepted group into every round: one winner gets a win and every other player gets a loss.
- Round robin schedules every participant against every other participant.
- Single elimination advances winners until one champion remains.
- Ongoing rivalries keep accepting new confirmed matchups without an end date.
How it works
- Choose an activity and its exact game variation.
- Choose the format that matches how participants should compete.
- Choose Group rivalry for an ongoing golf group, video-game group, or any group where different pairs play at different times.
- Choose Everyone at once when three or more people play the same round together, such as six-player darts. The organizer records the round once for everyone.
- Choose Ongoing for permanent record keeping or set an end date, then select the actual opponent whenever a result is recorded.
- Add the full roster before generating round-robin or elimination fixtures.
- Review the format summary before creating the competition.
